Parent’s Guide to Media Literacy

Trend Micro worked with NAMLE to create a parent’s guide to assist families in starting media literacy conversations at home.

The guide uses real-life examples to focus on one simple piece of advice: teach your kids to ask questions. Download your free copy of the parent’s guide and tell your neighbors where to find theirs.

The Parent’s Guide is also available in Spanish and Greek here.

Common Sense Media rates movies, TV shows, books, and more so parents can feel good about the entertainment choices they make for their kids.

Common Sense Kids Action partners with policymakers, business leaders, and other advocates to ensure that all kids have the opportunity to succeed. Their advocacy platform highlights legislation related to technology to keep parents and educators informed.

Our friends at the Center for Media Literacy have put together a comprehensive list of tips and ideas for parents about media in the lives of children as well as practical pointers for introducing media literacy concepts and skills to children of different ages.
